I interviewed best-selling Indie-author, Tori Scott. Check it out at Beyond the Veil! Also, post a comment for a chance to win a download of her latest novel, the paranormal romance Superstition.
Have a great day!

re: comments
Just an FYI... I had to put this blog on moderation some time back. Seems someone thought it would be funny to post porn links instead of real feedback. I am NOT a fan of porn. >:(
Anyway, if your post doesn't come up immediately, don't fret -- I'm probably just flaking somewhere else. ;) But I will post it eventually ... hopefully sooner rather than later ... IF you post something without nasty links.
TY!

Heroes and spring
It's my turn to blog today at Beyond the Veil. Come on over and check it out -- I'm talking about heroes that I really can't buy in romance. Do you have any?
And while the calendar has proclaimed Spring is here in the U.S., the weather itself has been very quiet on the subject. Nights are still getting damn cold! But things are looking up. I hope. I'm really, REALLY ready for some sunshine and warmth.

All the nominees are listed; polls for both the e-books and print books are down the page at the right.

Those blog quizzes...
Are really interesting. And addictive.
Sometimes I find the results spot-on; other times I wonder if the quiz writer had a clue. LOL!
So far I know my "power color" is Indigo; I have my own leprechaun and rock star names; I know I'm romantic and a dreamer (didn't need a quiz to figure that out); and I'm not as big a pessimist as I thought. Odd. I'm also 60% Irish and 64% Southern. Now that's a fun combo.
But it has me wondering -- why do so many people like these quizzes? Are we bored? Trying to "find ourselves"? In need of some more challenging computer games or a new book to read?
I'm not sure, honestly. But I do know once I start clicking on the answers, I can't do just one! They're worse than potato chips. And even though I'm happily married, I still can't resist finding out what kind of flirt I am and if men find me sexy. I feel the need to try another quiz, and another until I've wasted half an hour or more discovering some rather useful insights into my personality.
Yeah...well, maybe not useful, but entertaining at least.

Tagged! -- Eight random facts...
Okay, I've been tagged by my friend and fellow writer, Leslie Dicken.
Here are the rules:
1. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
2. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
8 random facts/habits about me …
1. I have two main nicknames: Alli and Gator. No, on the surface I don't look or act much like a gator, but then it's the quite ones you have to watch out for. ;)
2. I have five children -- all from my one and only marriage; all on purpose. Yes, I know that in itself is certifiable...but I didn't stop there....
3. I home school all of my children, grades 1, 3, 6, 9 & 10. Crazy? Probably. But they love me anyway.
4. I love to act and sing. If I had a different temperament and/or confidence, I might have gone for a career in one or the other. As it is, I really think the acting thing helps in my writing.
5. I adore Gerry Butler. He's sexy, charismatic, has the most beautiful eyes and abs... SIGH. Don't tell Leslie! She thinks he's hers. ;)
6. I love Alfred Hitchcock movies. My favorites are Rear Window and Marnie (Sean Connery at 30-something, yum!).
7. I hate to cook. I do it, naturally, and can follow a recipe with the best of them, but it just isn't my 'thing'. I prefer to create something that lasts longer than fifteen minutes. :)
8. I've always wanted to learn ballroom dancing -- I loved the movie, Dirty Dancing. But my dh isn't a big dance fan. One of these days, however... either that or belly dancing. (GGG)
Now I'm going to TAG my buddies: Sara, Nell, Amelia, Glo, Gracie, Marie-Nicole, Emma, and Lorribelle.

Contest bloggers ... PLEASE READ!
Well, don't I feel dumb? (yep) I realized that most of those who posted for my LUCKY IN LOVE website contest did not leave enough info for me to contact them! Oy!
While Amelia Elias won the grand prize, everyone else who posted won as well. If you did post regarding authors' websites, PLEASE email me with the following info: your blogger name, real name, and your snail mail address. Once I have this, I can send everyone a prize -- one of over twenty lovely book-thongs.
They're ready! They just need a good home. ;)
Here's the addy: meg_allison_author@yahoo.com
Make sure to mark your email as Book Thong contest, or something similar. Thanks!
