Expecting eloquence?

Then you're at the wrong blog today.

Children are ... interesting. That's the best way to put it. It's after days like this that I sort of wonder if the "crazy old cat-lady" thing is such a bad idea?

However, I'd miss the not-so-little darlings if they were gone. Who would make me laugh? Hug me for no reason? Tell me the worst knock-knock joke ever? Keep me on track and moving in the right direction?

Yep, kids are great. I love mine completely. But they sure can make the muse head for the hills. Ever try to read a love scene with children clamoring for dinner, demanding justice because big brother said something mean, or slamming the front door every two minutes????

You should try writing one in such situations. ARGH!

Having five of the little monsters, er, I mean DARLINGS, I get irritated when my critique partner wants to know why I can't work while they are here and awake...DUH!

I soooo get it, it's hard. Head-phones help, but they can only do so much when the blood-curdling screams of them beating each other senseless behind you bleed through the music (and summer JUST started! UGH).

LOL! I feel your pain, Terri! I have five little ones, as well. Mine are ages 8-17; three girls; two boys. They do keep you hopping.

And mumbling incoherently like an Arkum escapee... ;)

Wow...not sure which of us has it worse...Mine are 14, 13, 12, 7, 6...the 12 year old is the only boy (okay, I think HE has it worse)!
